Discovering Food: Thai Arts, Bridgenorth.

Last week Tom and I found ourselves with some free time while visiting my parents and so we decided that we would go out with one of my closest friends and FINALLY meet her boyfriend. Well I mean they have only been together 2 years 6 months and 17 days ... its nothing really.

As we had never eaten thai before they decided that they would introduce us by taking us to Thai Arts in Bridgenorth. A small family owned restaurant, we were lucky to get a table as it was packed, but luckily Emily had reserved us a table!!

We decided to go for the set menu so that we could try a little of everything, and we were not dissapointed! Our starter was a platter of thai favourites including prawn toast, satay chicken and the most beautiful ribs I have ever tasted! They were cooked in a sort of sticky honey sauce and they were beautiful! Not one for a first date though ... rather messy!

When the mains came my eyes nearly popped out of my head!! They filled the whole table! We had a hot and sour chicken soup which was quite spicy, but also very flavoursome. Im not usually a fan of anything spicy but it was tasty that I really enjoyed it.

There was also a sweet and sour fish dish and a prawn stir fry with noodles. Fish and seafood are not something I would usually order but I REALLY enjoyed them. Its really made me think about pushing my limits when I am eating out.

The star dish for me has the Duck fried in the chefs own tamarind sauce. It tasted like a sweet bbq sauce, and was expertly cooked!!

I would definately recommend this restaurant AND if you book to go Sunday - Thursday you get a massive 50% off!

Would you reccomend any thai restaurants??
