Why Slim Fast DIDNT Work For Me.





So last week I embarked on the Slim Fast plan. The 3.2.1 plan (along with 2l of water and exercise) is a system of replacing two of your meals per day with a shake or meal bar, having 3 snacks of 100 calories and also 1 balanced meal a day. It is essentially a calorie controlled diet and you should lose 1-2lbs per week. After three days I was starving and felt really unwell, and while this may not of been wholly due to the slim fast plan, it certainly didn't help and I had to stop. However it wasn't all bad.

Pros

  • I really enjoyed having the shakes for breakfast. Before the plan I would normally skip breakfast and feel sick and hungry by about 11am and so I will continue to have the shakes for breakfast
  • I really enjoyed the snack bars and pretzels. I will continue to buy these when I am back on Slimming World at 4.5Syns each
Cons

  • I really didnt like the meal bars. They were stodgy and didn't taste very nice.
  • Its shown me that meal replacement isnt for me. I like food. In fact I need food. Slimming World is the only diet I have tried so far that lets me eat loads and still lose weight! I will definately be back to Slimming World when life is less crazy
I am still really grateful to SlimFast for giving me this opportunity but it just wasn't for me. I would love to know if anyone has had any positive experiences?
