Coalville Food and Drink Festival

One of the  I visit a lot is Coalville. It has a bit of a bad reputation but I absolutely adore it. Just 20 minutes on the bus from where I live it has plenty of charity shops, cafes and a Home Bargains ... what more could a thrifty girl want? Anyway a couple of weeks ago Tom and I decided to go along to the Coalville winter food and drink festival and it was lovely to see the town so busy!

There were plenty of choices of festive food and drink on offer and Tom opted for a hot mulled cider! I thought I would enjoy it but sadly it was too sour for me, I could have done with some apple juice in it!! There was also mulled wine but I didn't have any!

There was also this awesome pizza truck! I didn't actually get to try anything from them as I was full up from going out for breakfast beforehand but from looking at there website you can find them at many places! Hopefully I will be checking them out soon!

The tree would most likely have looked a lot better if it was later on and a bit darker but I really enjoyed the day and the atmosphere was really night. We came home with the most beautiful pie from Brocklebys. Made in Melton Mowbray its a very local company, at £7.50 it is not something we would eat all the time but I enjoyed it none the less! Something I would definately buy again for a treat!!
