Inspired by a lot of thrifty blogs over the last few months I decided to really stick to my roots of being a budget, charity shopping, bargain seeking gal. I am going to be shopping my stash and using up all of my current products before buying more and I am going to be documenting this through my empties posts, but also I think that I am going to do a monthly kind of make-up menu and pick out some makeup and products that I am going to try and use that month, If I decide that I don't enjoy them I am going to give away!
So today's post is inspired by Julia over at rainbeaubelle
The idea is that every month you share 5 things that you bought that were under £5 each. I am going to keep this post strictly to things not bought in Charity Shops, as I want to show you things that you may be able to get your hands on!
So firstly on the top left is this gorgeous little sign that I picked up in Pound Stretcher. We went to the store in Hinckley and it is absolutely huge!! I could have easily bought a lot more, and have my eye on some Pyrex and bleach (how old do I sound?) At £1.99 I thought it would fit in well with my collection of quirky quotes and of course I am a crazy cat lady!
Second, is this super soft scarf and glove set I bought from Home Bargains. I had been looking for a pair of gloves that doesn't catch on the sore skin on my fingers. Does anyone else find with woollen gloves that they can catch the dry sore skin? Or is that just me? Anyway with the whole set being £2.99 I couldn't resist
Next are these two rimmel products from Pound Stretcher. The apocolips retail in boots for £6.49 and this isn't the first time I have found them for a pound or two! I think I have four shades now. I also picked up this mascara to also give it a go (bonus: I also bought a rimmel bb cream for £1.49 in Home Bargains so keep your eyes peeled!)
Lastly is my second favourite hand wash! Yes I have two, this strawberry laces one by carex and my all time favourite is their bubblegum variety. I have one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen and they need replacing regularly and I ONLY buy them when they are on offer. This was 90p from tesco
So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed this post, I am not sure if there will be a February edition because as you have seen in this post I am on a spending ban! However, if I do run out of anything essential that needs replacing I may document that!
