Todays post is bought to you courtesy of a random need to declutter. I suddenly, after working silly hours at work this week, decided that I needed to start decluttering the house. It is something I have meant to do for ages and ages, I simply have too much stuff for my small house.

I have been watching minimalist, capsule wardrobes (not for me... I currently have 94 dresses that are too small for me sat in my back room, and damn it I will wear them all at some point.) I have also read marie kondos book the life changing magic of tidying up (which I will be posting a review on, but spoiler alert it hasn't changed my life.)

I think I have come to the conclusion that everything in my home needs a place, yes, but I never want it to look like a showroom! I am quite happy for there to be a few dishes on the drying rack, and a few bits of clothing creating a slight floordrobe. My house is a home, we live in it.

Anyway, today I have blitzed through my lounge and made it into the comfy cosy space I have been dreaming of (minus a rug, I am waiting to find the perfect one) and I was thinking about putting more homeware things on the blog.

I am also going to be decluttering my wardrobe (and posting a sort of wear everything in my wardrobe challenge) and my stash of beauty products too.

I am also coming down with a cold (caught from the lovely hubby ... sharing is caring right?) and I hope to be back up to normal blogging soon and hope you don't mind this rambly post ...

  1. Hope you're feeling better now! There's nothing like decluttering and having a Spring clean, that's my plan for next weekend :)

  2. 94 dresses? Oh my Lord, are you me? I haven't counted mine recently...I once did a blog challenge and tried to whittle them down to 27. I failed. Miserably. If you ever fancy swapping dresses, let me know!

    1. Thats 94 that are too small at the moment and I think about 30 in my current wardrobe
