EMPTIES: Part One: Hair and Skin Products

know that in the blogging world empties have a bit of a marmite reputation. I love them, I believe that if a blogger has used a whole product up they have enough to talk about. We all know what it is like to find a product and after one use rave about it but then to find that a few weeks later its not as amazing as you first thought!

Anyway, in Novemeber I am going to be really streamlining both my blogs and everything beauty will be moving over to Shoestring Chic. Before I do that though I wanted to get through the massive box of empties I have collected over the past few months! I didnt want to maake this post too long.

First up is the Garnier ultimate blends the colour illuminator shampoo and conditioner. I bought these when I had red hair (and yeah thats over a year ago, does that show you how much of a hoarder I am) and I really enjoyed using them. Widely available they are usually on offer for about £2 each and the RRP is only £3. They are enriched with cranberry and argan oil and I loved using them!

Would I Repurchase? No, because I dont have coloured hair anymore. However I do want to try some of the other shampoos and conditioners in the range!

Next is the Toni and Guy nourish and cleanse shampoo and conditioner for brunette hair. I won these in the raffle at the Notts Blogger Meet last year and put them away for a while as I had red hair! When I got round to using them I really liked the scent and how they made my hair feel, but at £6.49 each I dont think they are worth the price

Would I Repurchase? No. I dont think they are worth the expense.

Next up is the lee stafford hair that never goes past a certain length treatment. I bought this after I had my hair cut short and regretted it. I had seen loads of bloggers rave about it but found either my expectations were too high or it just didnt live up to the hype. Its £8.49 but usually on the 3 for £15 deal in boots.

Would I Repurchase? No. Definately not worth the hype.

Next is the loreal hair expertise ever pure reinforcing intense mask. I think, due to struggling to find it online it has been slightly rebranded to the SuperPure intense mask but i think its the same thing. I really liked this because as a hair mask it made my hair feel really soft! I bought it in morrisons for £3 but it tends to retail at about £7. I really liked it and a little went a long way

Would I Repurchse? Yes but only if I could get it on offer again!

The last product in this part of my empties is the Lyonsleaf beauty balm I was lucky enough to win this last year at the West Midlands Blogger Meet and I loved it. During the summer I didnt use it as much but during the winter it just added a lot of hydration and softness to my skin. It was the first solid cleansing balm I had ever tried and I was overwhelmed by the gorgeous, relaxing scent! At £12.95 it doesnt really fit with my budget ethos but as It lasted so so long I might consider buying it again. I would certainly love it as a christmas/birthday gift

Would I Repurchase? Maybe. I love it, but I am a bit of a skinflint so I dont know at the moment.
